"The people who make a difference are not the ones with credentials, but the ones with concern." - Max Lucado
There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle we call life. ESI helps people put some of these pieces together. The pieces we deal with include both hard and soft employment, academic education, life skills, and health care literacy. If you enjoy and find it rewarding helping people who are trying to better themselves, then ESI might be able to utilize your talents and energy!
We are always looking to expand our adult education and youth services to fulfill our mission. We utilize an assortment of dedicated volunteers and part-time staff as lead instructors (as grants and donations permit), teacher assistants, tutors, and in our child education activities.
Help us Grow Stonger Individuals, Families and our Community through Education!
ESI provides FREE tutor/literacy training for staff and volunteers. The training provides an overview of adult education instruction, learner attributes and barriers, instructional techniques for various learner styles and levels, and Colorado Department of Education guidelines. It's geared for the novice instructor and useful for experienced teachers who desire the basics of instructing non-English learners, those preparing for the GED, and individuals with learning disabilities who are in need of one-on-one tutoring.
Share Your Knowledge - Show Your Compassion - And Be A Hero!
The chances of succeeding in any of life's endeavors are significantly improved if competent guidance is available. Many at-risk adults are in need of personal and compassionate mentoring or counseling. ESI needs quality volunteer mentors with a variety of skills and knowledge. Training and orientation is provided.
